this split was really fun to do, i recorded the first guitar for 'soliel' at my old house then recorded everything else at the next house. bradley ryan is a great poet and it's an honor to call him a friend.

i met c.j. on twitter and asked him if he would be interested in a split, so we recorded these 2 songs and threw em with his two songs and the rest is history. we thought of making some cds, but we never got around to it. maybe someday.

i rushed writing this ep, so we could have new stuff out, since our new full length was taking so long to come out, then we had funding issues for the lathe cut records, then it was delayed from february to april. this ep is a mess, but i still love the songs i wrote for it. they're really fun to play.

we spent half a year writing and recording this album and it is such a relief to finally release it. most of these songs were written over a year ago and i still love them just as much, maybe even more than i did when i first wrote them. as of spring 2017, we have yet to press these on tape, but eventually we will and we'll sell 'em for a few bucks.

these two songs are songs we written while working on a new EP (also a 7", maybe) that i decided to throw on a new lathe cut to replace "you're aces ackley kid. i spent gobs of time working on the inserts and layout and everything and it's going to turn out super good.

We recorded 'Oh no!' when we recorded our last 7" and were hoping to include it on a split, so when I met Tom, it was like a match made in heaven. Our other song was recorded in January, the title is a quote from Augusten Burroughs.
